Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska are not available at this time (please contact directly for more shipping options). In the rare instance you are in a location not serviceable by trucking, we will advise you before accepting order. Please note that items may ship separately and arrive at different times.
How are Futons shipped to my home?
Our new line of frames allow us to send the frame Fed Ex ground and avoid appointment deliveries and large trucks. Your packages will arrive similar to any other item you buy online. Assembly does take approximately 30 minutes longer but you do not have to be home for delivery or lift any bulky boxes from your curb to the house. We offer excellent assembly support with night and weekend help if needed. Our detailed instructions make assembly easy but we are available to help if needed.
In rare cases, a futon frame may be shipped via common carrier (semi-trick). We can still ship these orders to apartment buildings, office buildings, residential homes and just about anywhere delivery services are able to make futon deliveries in the continental US. There are no additional shipping charges for the customer. The delivery company will contact you 24-48 hours prior to set a delivery window. Please note we use curbside delivery which means you are responsible to bring the item from the truck into your house. How are Mattresses shipped to my home?
We ship futon mattresses from various locations. Futon mattresses are usually well bagged to prevent damage during shipping. If you notice your futon mattress is worn or damaged due to shipping please make sure to mark it on the shipping documents immediately. These items both ship Fed Ex or UPS and may arrive at a different time than your futon frame.
How are Thai Carved Tables and Benches shipped to my home?
We ship our Thai furniture from two different locations. Most items will ship via FedEx/UPS, and take approximately 5-7 business days to arrive after purchase.
The only time you are responsible for our shipping charges is if you make a return. Note that returns are not authorized without a return authorization number issued by us. For more information on returning Thai items, please visit our Variations Page and Return Policy page.
Receipt of Shipment
We work very closely with our suppliers and trucking companies to ensure your product arrives safely. However, although rare, damage can occur in transit. NEVER REFUSE DELIVERY OF THE FRAME. IF YOU REFUSE DELIVERY DUE TO DAMAGE YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $100 RE-DELIVERY FEE.
Upon receiving the frame, please inspect the box ON ALL SIDES before signing the Bill of Lading with the driver. If you suspect the frame might be damaged, open the box in front of the driver and inspect it. Please NOTE ANY DAMAGE to the cardboard box (dent, gouge, tear, etc) and any visible damage to frame itself on the bill of lading when you sign it. This ensures that the trucking company will reimburse the cost of any damages that occur during transport providing you have taken the above matters. Replacement parts can be sent to you free of charge ONLY if damages are noted with the shipping company right on the bill of lading upon receiving the frame.
Notify Strata Furniture within 48 hours after receiving your order so that a claim can be processed by us. If you do not notify Strata Furniture about damages within 48 hours of receiving your order, we will NOT be responsible to ship your replacement part for free. Please also provide digital images of the damage within 5 business days. Please be advised, if any portion of the frame arrives damaged we will ONLY ship a replacement part FREE of charge. A full refund will NOT be issued due to damage. If you should decide to return the frame, our standard return policy as noted above will apply. In most instances, we may require proof of damages before a claim can be made. Do not discard any damaged items until your replacement part has been received and the damage has been resolved.
Transit Times
We ship from different locations throughout the USA. Your items will ship directly from the manufacturer and you may receive shipping information from them directly.
Futon frames and tables ship in 2-6 business days and take 3-7 business days once shipped to arrive at your location. Mattresses are made to order and take 3-10 business days to complete. Once completed, shipping takes 3-7 business days. For expedited shipping please contact us. Most standard size Futon covers ship in 2-5 business days. Futon covers ordered with extra loft or any nonstandard sized cover (chair sizes, ottomans, etc.) ship in 10-12 business days. Please plan to receive your items as they arrive.
