*YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE PIECE PICTURED. AS THAT IS JUST A REPRESENTATION OF THE DESIGN AND FINISH TONE.

There will be visible marks from carving, patches from repairs, knot holes, natural inclusions, and worm holes. There will be various separations or cracks on your piece when it arrives. They naturally occurred as the wood was dried. Over time, continued shrinkage will accentuate existing separations or generate new ones. This does not compromise the structural performance or integrity of the wood and is considered inherent to the natural beauty of the design.

The pieces are hand-made from start to finish, and this touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. Color discrepancies will occur between the product and your computer screen.

100% Sustainable eco-friendly woods and finishes. Craftspeople from the Chiang Mai area in Northern Thailand create these one-of-a-kind pieces with the simplest of tools.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Cleaning is best accomplished by using warm lightly soapy water. Use of a dishwashing soap with a citrus base is best. Simply wipe the item with a wetted damp rag and then wipe dry with an absorbent dry towel. To maintain luster, use a spray on furniture polish wax.

Direct exposure in the sun light will cause the oil to fade due to UV rays. Over time the oiled surface can be refreshed by cleaning and then applying a light coat of neutral natural wood oil.

**Note: Naturally finished wood packed in cardboard boxes may develop surface mold due to air moisture and contact between cardboard and wood. The wood is a natural heat sink and warms and cools creating moisture inside the box. The wet cardboard causes surface mold to form occasionally.

After removing from the cartons simply clean as above. The piece will adjust to its new climate and stabilize over time and the surface mold will stop forming.

Finish Options

**NOTE** Not all finishes may be available for every item.

Grey – Antiqued Grey-White finish oil makes the wood turn to an antique white look with a grey patina finish. The light portions of wood turn to shades of beige, and the dark wood lightens to shades of brown finish that is water resistant and easy to maintain

Mocha – To make the Mocha look we coat first with Cherry Oil which has reddish tones and then a topcoat of black oil. Since the oils are transparent the first coat of oil allows the browns to show through but gives it a richer brown with red tones. The Black oil then gives it that mocha look.

Oak – Hand rubbed in natural nontoxic Oak (golden) oil. Color ranges from medium to dark Golden Oak and brown tones that will darken as the wood ages.

Teak Oil Hand rubbed in natural non toxic Light Teak tone oil that is polished to a matte finish. Color ranges from light to medium light brown wood tones that will darken as the wood ages.

Tung Oil – Natural non-toxic Tung oil is polished to a matte finish. Highly water resistant and food safe finish. The light and dark portions of wood turn to darker shades of brown over time and the alkaline in the oils create a honey orange color. No oily feel and cannot “bleed” into carpets. Has a mild nutty smell that will fade over time, as it is undiluted oil pressed from the Tung tree nuts.

Walnut – Hand rubbed in natural nontoxic Walnut tone oil that is polished to a matte finish. Color ranges from medium to dark Walnut brown tones that will darken as the wood ages.

Dark Walnut – Hand rubbed in natural nontoxic Dark Walnut Ebony tone oil that is polished to a matte finish. Color ranges from dark Walnut brown to black Walnut tones that will darken as the wood ages
